ICEIce is a drug that has been around since the 80s and has spread all over Europe and the United States, especially among middle class teens. The dug got its name because of its similarity with an ice or crystal rock, and can now be found in the form of pills, produced mainly in Asia and England. It is now more powerful than the ones produced before. Some people choose to drink it dissolved in drinks. This drug is a type of amphetamine, a stimulant that acts on the central nervous system that increases brain activity. Its damages
appear mostly some time after being used. For example, many people say they use the drug to play video games or surf the Web since, due to the effect of the drug, they have gained a quicker reflex, feel excited and have their vision “improved”. Due to the visual effects seen on the monitor of a computer, for example, the retina can be dislocated. The addiction sign are characterized by insomnia, anxiety and lack of appetite, and if used with frequency, being able to cause death of brain cells, heart attack, paranoia, and psychotic ideas.
